Poly coated chromo paper is a highly water-resistant and durable product that comes with its own sets of benefits. This paper is coated with an inorganic compound which is essentially a non-living composite. This coating adds the qualities of ink absorbency, façade gloss, and high levels of smoothness. Polymers are coated on this paper by the process of extrusion coating lamination which also gives the paper its additional strength, texture, and durability.
Poly coated chromo paper can be used to make tobacco sachets, magazine paper, labels, and even in the packaging of several brands of green tea. This form of paper is one of the best when it comes to printing which is another reason why it is used in the tobacco gutka and pan masala industry. The extended shelf life provided by this paper turns out to be another reason why it is used in the packaging of the aforementioned products.
